Purpose. To provide a scientific substantiation of approaches to the systematization and classification of technological schemes for mining coal-bearing waste dumps, considering their morphological characteristics, parameters of transport infrastructure, specific features of material flow formation, and the development of the mining front. Methodology. The research methodology is based on a comprehensive analysis of scientific literature and the morphological, geometric, and technological characteristics of waste rock dumps. The study employs comparative analysis, systematization, classification, logical generalization, and graphical modelling of technological schemes using AutoCAD software Findings. The principal types of waste rock dumps at coal mining enterprises have been generalized and systematized according to their morphological and technological characteristics. A classification of technological schemes for their mining has been developed, considering dump geometry, transport infrastructure, haulage route configuration, conditions governing material flow formation, and the development of the mining front. A structural and logical framework demonstrating the relationships among the classification criteria has been proposed, enabling a substantiated selection of rational technological solutions for waste rock dump mining. Originality. For the first time, a comprehensive approach to the systematization and classification of technological schemes for mining coal-bearing waste rock dumps has been proposed. Unlike existing approaches, it simultaneously considers the morphological characteristics of waste dumps, parameters of transport infrastructure, patterns of material flow formation, the nature of mining front development, as well as mining, technical, safety, and environmental factors that determine the conditions for their efficient exploitation. Practical implications. The practical significance of the obtained results lies in the development of a scientifically substantiated framework for selecting technological schemes for mining waste rock dumps at coal mining enterprises. The proposed approaches can be applied in mine planning, determining priorities for the exploitation of technogenic accumulations, improving the efficiency of secondary mineral and energy resource utilization, and minimizing the adverse environmental impacts of mining activities.References
